Cardiff, UK Wednesday 01 May 2013 32 year old painter Daniel Llywelyn Hall, the youngest Welsh artist to paint a monarch. Official unveiling of a newly commissioned portrait of The Queen, which is to be hung permanently on site at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, south Wales, marking the 60th anniversary of the coronation. The specially commissioned portrait was unveiled by the First Minister of Wales Carwyn Jones who is patron of the Welsh Rugby Union and will be permanently housed on site at the Millennium Stadium. Hall was granted a sitting with Her Majesty in the White Drawing Room of Windsor Castle late last year. Hall, who was born in Cardiff, has recently produced portraits of First World War veterans Henry Allingham and Harry Patch which have been displayed at Windsor Castle and are now a permanent feature in the Royal Collection.
