The civil medal exhibits, on the obverse, the royal effigywith the above legend, while the reverse is precisely the same asthat of the Order. The 7th June is generally fixed for the distribution ofthe decoration, and promotions in the Order. The Knights of the Grand Cross wear the badge across theright shoulder, by a broad white watered ribbon (four incheswide), with two grass-green stripes, and accompanied by asilver sextuple and radiant star on the left side of the breast,containing the oaken wreath a
