Brockville, where the Ross block stands could he purchased in this store from a horseshoe to a suit of clothes,and it was here that Mr. ^\hite served his business apprenticeship. Hh becameassociated with T. R. Shettield in the lirm of Sheffield <!v: ^Vhile and continued inthe general store business for ten years. Purchasing the old Overell block, now. Residence of M. White. the Recorder building, he conducted a large tailoring establishment for three vcnrswken he sold out and removed to Toronto where he resided for several to Brockville afew years ago, he opened up a tailoring business on thecorner of Main and Market streets, which he now occupies, being associated withhis son Mr. Harry \\hite, under the firm name of M. White & Co. A New \orkcutter, :\Ir. Louis Hecklinger, is employed in this establishment, and a large andvaried stock of suitings is carried, so that a good fit and good goods can always beobtained at a reasonable price.
