Now for the feast as it was cele-brated at San Xavier. The firstvespers of the feast were sung inthe church, which was illuminatedwith hundreds of candles. The Henry Granj on, Bishop of thediocese of Tucson, officiated. Dur-ing the hymn of the vespers a pro-cession was formed and led aroundthe plaza before the church. The 26 FRANCISCAN
