Emley Moor transmitting station. This is the top section of this transmitting station, which is a tall tower that supports antennas (some seen) used to broadcast signals for radio and television channels. The signals being transmitted are in the VHF to UHF range (very high to ultra high frequency). Such broadcasts now use discrete (digital) signals, as opposed to continuous (analogue) signals. This is more efficient and enables more television and radio stations to be broadcast. Emley Moor transmitting station is in Emley, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England. It was built from 1969 to 1971, and is 330 metres tall.
