Life-size wound model. Model of a male torso developed to aid in the training of wound management. This model called 'George' has several wounds modelled on a real patient. The surgical incision (centre right) can be removed to reveal a large internal abdominal wound (lower centre). There is also a removable fungating tumour which has been placed on the shoulder (top). This model helps discussion about issues including wound measurement, pressure ulcer grading, dressing application, and wound bed preparation.
