A First Great Western service negotiates a flooded section of track at Hinksey, near Radley, Oxfordshire


With several severe flood warnings issued for the Thames Valley First Great Western rail passenger services in Oxfordshire were affected for the second time within a month. Hinksey Stream, a tributary of the River Thames, burst its banks flooding sections of the railway line near Radley. With the top of a fencing post in the foreground just visible the train negotiates a flooded section of track at Hinksey as it forms a limited hourly shuttle rail service between Didcot Parkway and Oxford on 10 February 2014.
