Workers carry heavy poached planks of illegally logged endangered Mulanje Cedar, Widdringtonia whytei, down Mount Mulanje, Malawi

The Mulanje Cedar, Widdringtonia whytei, is the national tree of Malawi but is critically endangered due to its small habitat atop a single mountain, Mount Mulanje; the small remaining population is poached for its valuable fragrant wood used in construction and wood-working.
