Penmon Point, Anglesey, Wales, Weather: With the increase in temperatures due to the recent summer heatwave the mesmerising spectacle of bioluminescent plankton has been extra special with many flocking to Penmon Point on Anglesey in hope that the plankton puts on a show. The blue comes from a defense mechanism of the plankton when disturbed, which is also know as Sea Sparkle or Latin (Noctiluca Scintillans)
