In 1835he moved to what is now Polk township,where he was assessed among the taxables ofSnyder in 1836, and at his house the firstelection for Polk was fixed by Act of Assemblyin 1851. He and his brother Jacob were greathunters, killing many bears, wolves, deer, wild-cats, foxes, and other wild beasts right herein the county.
