The Hemlock Stone/ Himlack Stone , Stapleford Hill (Bramcote Hills), near Stapleford, Nottinghamshire, England as it was in stone is now protected by an iron fence and the stack is little changed, though wind and weather erosion continues. The stone is mentioned in Lawrence's novel Sons and Lovers and an annual free festival, the Hemlock Happening, is held for one day each June.
