A bone-inlaid German wheellock rifle, circa 1670 Slightly swamped, octagonal barrel with finely rifled bore in mm calibre with dovetailed iron front sight and folding rear sight of brass. Slightly chiselled and engraved wheellock with heart-shaped openwork wheel cover. Struck on the lockplate a sabre mark/flower. Double set trigger with iron trigger guard with finger rests. Walnut full stock with patchbox, decorated with ornaments and dots of engraved and blackened bone, on the cheek the portrait of a man with helmet.
