25/04/21 Alex Macfadzean (right) and design engineer, Alastair Smith push the motorcycle from the workshop. With only two wheels and a fifty-year-old Rolls-Royce helicopter engine slung behind a 1950s-style cockpit sat in a 30ft labyrinth of aero-grade metal tubing, this is the creation of 77-year-old former motorcycle Grand Prix and TT sidecar racer, Alex Mcfadzean. Ridden by Guy Martin, it is hoped the all British bike will hit 400mph, breaking the current 376mph motorcycle land-speed record next year in Bolivia.
