Afterwards Dr. G. Murray was so kind as to send me acollection of calcareous Algæ for determination lately received fromFunafuti. This collection contains a rather considerable specimens collected in different localities, but comprehends only4 species2), showing this group of Algæ scarcely being representedby any great number of species.
