The cold water intake caisson in the Bristol Channel off Breaksea Point, for Aberthaw coal fired power station. The water enters via this caisson, then is used to cool down the superheated steam, after which it returns to the Bristol Channel approximately 8 degrees Celsius warmer than when it entered.
