Portrait of Joost van den Vondel (1587-1679) on ivory. Oval thin disk ivory on which in pen drawn the bust of a man. Signed under drawing 'nightingale f' and on the back with 'nightingale fecit'. The portrait is that of an old man with a potato and a square collar. This portrait was originally in a double list with that of Const. Huijgens. (NG-KOG-1525-B) .oval ivory portrait, list is missing, pen on ivory. Older man with short hair, swallow and beam, wide flat collar, black shirt, somewhat risen to the right.
