A Roman dagger (pugio), 1st century BC - 2nd century AD Iron blade with the typical curved shape with central ridge on both sides. Centrally flared tang with parts of the original grip scales. Between the tang and the grip scales remnants of chequered wooden inlays. The pommel attached later. Restored condition, parts of the crossguard are probably replacements.
