YOKOSUKA, Japan (April 24, 2017) Lt. Shirahama Hiroki, JS Izumo's (DDH 183) information technician officer, speaks to Sailors assigned to the Navy's only forward deployed aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) on the navigation bridge of JS Izumo (DDG 183). Twenty Sailors from Ronald Reagan toured Izumo as part of a partnership event. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the collective maritime interests of its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
