OAKLAND TRACTION CLUBROOMS The Oakland Traction Consolidated, of Oakland, Cal.,whose repair shops were described in the Street RailwayJournal for Feb. 3, has fitted up for its employees one of thehandsomest suites of clubrooms that is to be found anywherein the country. The clubrooms are located in the companys general officebuilding on San Pablo Avenue, Twenty-First Street andGrove Street, and occupy the entire second floor and a portionof the ground floor. This building, Fig 1,is of a substantial brick construction, andwas built and occupied for a number ofyears as a cable power house and carhouse. The cable plant was abandoned whenthe San Pablo road was changed to anelectric line. When the combined properties of the Oak-land Traction Consolidated required largeroffices, part of the ground floor of thisbuilding was fitted up for that purpos
