Welhnan, —?—- Pryor, Pixley, Joseph Hague, Joseph Selleck. The Sabbath-school work begun very early, and schoolswere organized at every school house as fast they werebuilt. Among the earliest was the one connected with theMethodist Episcopal class in district No. 8, of which JesseBrooks was the first superintendent. Many of the schoolswere organized through the eflorts of Deacon Upson, ofColdwater, who was very active in that work. For severalyears the several schools of the town were in the habit ofholding an annual picnic together, and out of this grew atown Sunday-school association, which was organized about ^.
