Cyril and Lilian Bishop Old Lifeboat now displayed in Hastings Old Town beside the Ols Rectory


Retired RNLI lifeboat displayed as an historical landmark in Hastings Old Town on the corner of Harold Road. The lifeboat was the bequest of Cyril and Lilian Bishop in 1930 and was in active service in Hastings from 1931 to 1950 and saved at least 99 lives and many more when it took part in the evacuation of Dunkirk in 1940 in WW2
