Fort Al Mirani - Muscat - Sultanate of Oman

Fort Al-Mirani is a fortress in Muscat's harbour, Oman. During the 1552 Capture of Muscat, an Ottoman force comprising four galleons, 25 galleys, and 850 troops seized the city along with the fort. Fort Al-Mirani, recently constructed, was besieged for 18 days with Ottoman artillery positioned on a ridge. The fort was ultimately captured, and its defenses were destroyed.
