Falmouth, Cornwall, UK. 17th October, 2014. RFA Argus today left the port of Falmouth in Cornwall to support efforts to tackle the Ebola crisis. Three Merlin MK2 Helicopters from 820 Squadron at RNAS Culdrose will join the ship en-route. 750 personnel will help with the establishment of Ebola treatment centres and an Ebola training academy. three Royal Navy Merlin helicopters and aircrew and engineers will facilitate the rapid movement of key personnel to areas where they are required.
