The ruins of Leamanagh Castle in Co. Clare, Ireland


The ruins of Leamanagh Castle are located near the junction of R480 and R476 in Co. Clare, Ireland. The castle was built in 1490 and was owned by Máire Rua (known euphemistically as Red Mary) . The ruin now lies on private property and can only be seen from the roadside.
