Mums should be in splendid condition for Thanksgiv- ing Turner and yellow Turner, Bonnaf- fon, Maud Dean, Chrysolora, Chieftain, Touset, Eaton and Yellow Eaton, Golden Glow and Queen are included in the sup- ply. Fair quantities of pompons in many different shades are in good de- mand. Single yellow and white varie- ties are popular. Calendulas are still in fair supply and are of excellent qual- ity. Pansies are seen, but do not move rapidly. The same is true of both single and double violets. Their quality is ex- cellent, but there is no great demand at present. Carnations of good quality are arriving in increased quantities, for which the demand is good. Most of the carnation stock arrives in medium- length stems. The long-stemmed stock has not as yet made its appearance. There is a fair demand for Easter lilies, but there is not sufficient stock to go around. Orchids had a fair demand during the week. Some good bouvardia is seen, but only in small quantities. Stevia is in good supply and, being the only fine flower at this time, is much sought for. Callas are small and receive little call. New galax in both brown and green is welcome. Leucothoe leaves are selling well. Natural oak is used largely with chrysanthemums. Various Notes.
