Illustration of a black hole and wormhole. A wormhole is thought to be a tunnel from one place in space to another. Black holes are regions in space-time where the gravitational force is so strong that even light cannot escape. This could be conceptualised as one side of the wormhole. Theoretically, this could be true, but currently, there is no evidence for the existence of wormholes.
