Heart and Soul Nebulae starless

The Heart Nebula, also known as IC 1805, is an emission nebula located 7,500 light-years away in the constellation Cassiopeia. Because of its shape, IC 1805 is commonly referred to as the "Heart Nebula." At the center of the nebula sits an open cluster of giant stars called Melotte 15. These stars blast the surrounding hydrogen and cause light emission, powering the glow of the Heart Nebula. The same phenomenon happens in nearby IC1848, the "Soul Nebula." The nebulae span about 600 light-years and are located in the Perseus arm of our galaxy. The image was taken with narrowband filters, Ha and Oiii.
