Duursma, former land board chairman and residence right to Padang was accused of betraying two illegal groups to the Japanese. The temporal court-martial sentenced him to 15 years imprisonment. The Military Court acquitted him, but on June 18, 1948 he was convicted by the Supreme Military Court to 18 years in prison. In 1949 this was reduced to 10 years.
