Viewmont, the tobacco plantation family estate where Southern Baptist missionary to China, Lottie Moon (1840-1912), grew up in the Charlottesville, Virginia, area in the mid 1800s. The home is pictured in 1937 and burned two years later. (USA)
Joshua Fry built the Viewmont house by 1737, but it burned sometime before 1800. The dwelling pictured here in 1937 was constructed on the original foundation and incorporated the chimneys from that structure as well.
