Their nuclei are dis- tinct, with sharply defined nuclear membranes, though thin and often irregular. There is no visible evidence of any intranuclear network. The nucleus stains only slightly, while the numerous nucleoli of various sizes are intensely basophilic, aggregating mostly along the periphery. Minute granules are found im- bedded everywhere in the nucleus. The ooplasm stains grayish.
