Hut, "Barraca" typical building in Ebro delta, near a rice field in Riet Vell, Amposta, Ebro Delta, Natural Park, Spain

The hut is a typical building in Ebro delta. The building is rectangular, about nine by five meters, with a pronounced triangular roof angle to drain torrential rainfall so typical of this area, with a ridge perpendicular to the input (usually facing south) which is located in one of the smaller sides. Distribution is always similar: a door on the south side which gives access to a wide corridor that runs along the building to the north side, which enables another door that allows air circulation. This hall is used as a kitchen, dining room and warehouse. On the other dorm bedrooms are enabled, usually three. The upper floor is accessed via a ladder and was formerly used for raising silkworms .
