The Moth of the Cone Pyralis, Tortrix Strobiliana a species of Psocoptera from Elipsocidae family. They have sharp teeth that cut numerous galleries between the wood and the bark of the tree creating severe damage to the tree. The drawing illustrates the damage done to a pine cone by it's caterpillar.
