It seems probable that there will be plenty of lilies for cutting next summer after all that are needed for the early Easter have been forced. Paper White narcissi have become more plentiful than seemed possible at first. This is likely to be reflected in late bulb sales and in the cut flower market. There have been great quantities of Dutch bulbs marketed—hyacinths, tu- lips, daffodils, etc. Despite left-overs and auction sales, the season has been satisfactory to the dealers. Good qual- ity and prompt delivery had their effect. Various Notes. David Anderson built one greenhouse, 40x250 feet, on his place at Garrettford this season. It is planted with Premier. Mr. Anderson is sending excellent Dou- ble White Killarney to Edward Eeid. Paul Murphy, of Indian Village Green- houses, Detroit, Mich., was here Novem- ber 6. Mr. Murphy is looking over the situation in the east. Joseph Josephs, the enterprising Columbia avenue florist, is the latest Philadelphia addition to the F. T. D. membership. A. E.
