Besides the fissured palate other deformities have been occa-sionally met with in the same patient. I remember one curiousinstance which was under the care of Mr. Bowman at KingsCollege Hospital in 1859. There was eversion of the lower lipwith two openings of buccal glands, besides a complete fissureof the palate with double harelip. These fistulous openingsperpetually discharged a secretion, which so annoyed the patientthat an operation was required. It consisted in dissecting Fia. up the apertures and turning them back so that the dischargemight enter the cavity of the And in a case of com-plete cleft of the palate sent to me by my friend Mr, SamuelOsborn there was also a congenital fissure of the lobe of theright ear, in another example congenital talipes calcaneus waspresent in both feet, and in a tiiird the little patient had markedhypospadia.
