Djibouti: white goats in front of a shepherd’s hut on the road to Djibouti. Daboytas, or huts, are traditional dwellings of the Afars in Djibouti and Ethiopia. The daboyta consists of a framework of hoops and covering mats of hyphaene palm. Its shape is hemispherical or elliptical, and its orientation takes into account wind direction.
