Norfolk District, Army Corps of Engineers, joined the partnership and provided an information exhibit, where experts discussed the Corps mission and informed university students about a future with the Corps. Multicultural Day included exhibits, artifacts, ethnic cuisine and assorted entertainment to highlight the heritage of America’s ethnicity, including: African, Hispanic, Greek, Scottish, Jewish, Asian/Pacific, Arab and European. At the Military Appreciation Night Sept. 26, Hampton University Pirates hosted the Delaware State University Hornets. Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, Coast Guardsmen and their families were honored guests. Pre-game festivities included a stadium parachute jump by a member of the Silver Wings Parachute Team from Fort Benning, Ga. Col. Daniel Reyes, Fort Monroe commander and Col.
