Shanghai Grand Canal. Barges seen passing through an industrial zone on the Shanghai Grand Canal, China. The canal links the Chang Jiang (Yangtze) river estuary to the north of Shanghai with the Fuchun Jiang river to the south, passing through several industrial cities such as Changzhou, Wuxi and Suzhou. The canal is about 200 km in length.
