On .\pril 1, 1866, Mr. Sanderson was employedby the Pennsylvania Railroad on the Pittsburgh KYRAN S. EGAN LENGTH OF SERVICE, 53 YEARS 11 MONTHS Kyran S. Egan, who was placed on the Rollof Honor May 1, 1916, was born in KingsCounty, Ireland, on April 17, 1846. His parentsbrought him to this country when he was 5 yearsof age. After attending the public schools ofPhiladelphia, he entered the service of the oldPhiladelphia, Wilmington and Baltimore Rail-road on May 10, 1862. He was first employed as Warehouseman, andin 1881 was promoted to Receiving Clerk, con-tinuing in that position until he was retired fromactive duty under the pension regulations. Mr. Egan was a particularly efficient and con-scientious employe and was never disciplined forany cause. His service of nearly 54 years wasspent at the Broad Street and Washington Avfe-nue Station, in Philadelphia. Notes About Retired Employes. ENDS 43 YEARS OF SERVICE Few women have ever worked longer for oneemployer than thePennsylvania Station in Pittsburgh, who was placedon the Roll of Honor of this Railroad on May I,1916. Miss Scott entered the Railroad service onMarch 18. 1873, at Pittsburgh, as Car Cleaner. OnOctober 24, 1888, she was promoted to Janitress atthe Pennsylvania Station, and on March I, 1904,was appointed Inspectress in charge of the womencleaners employed on the office floors of the build-ing. Miss Scott remained in that position until shewas retired from active duty upon reaching thefull age limit under the pension rules. Stagey Thomas Kemp, who was placed on the Roll of Honor March 1, 1916, had an activecareer of 44 years a
