MEDITERRANEAN (May 17, 2017) Gunner’s Mate 2nd Class Tyler Johnson, assigned to the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Vella Gulf (CG 72), fires a shot line to the fleet replenishment oiler USNS Big Horn (T-AO 198) during a replenishment-at-sea. Vella Gulf is on deployment conducting maritime defense and ballistic missile defense operations.
