There are two vertical pumps with six-inch suctions,each capable of lifting 650 gallons a minute. In addition,there is a horizontal pump with an eight-inch suctionespecially designed to handle rags, sticks, etc. In entering the station, the sewage passes through abucket screen, which is hoisted and cleaned at intervals.
