The boxer on the right appears to be wearing a championship belt. A semi-legible note handwritten in pencil on the back of the original card mount indicates the photograph may have been taken in Newport in Wales. It reads: " Jack Sinclair is the second on the right wearing the Whittaker, Way, Newport, Gwent". The condition of the original print from which this digital image has been rescued is in very poor condition. Whilst some progress has been made in cleaning the image, it has proved impossible to remove all the blemishes.
