The Salween River as it flows past a small village on the outskirts of Bingzhongluo in Yunnan Province. A part of the Three Parallel Rivers World Heritage Park, the area is renowned for its biodiversity; containing of China's landmass but containing more than 20% of the country's plant and 25% of the animal species. It also hosts 16 minority groups on its river banks and mountain slopes; one of the highest concentrations in the world.
