Rows of graves at Tyne Cot military cemetery


Tyne Cot military cemetery is the largest military cemetery in continental Europe. 11’956 soldiers from the First World War are buried in it. On the rear wall are engraved the names of a further 34’957 who were killed in the last year of the war but whose bodies were never found.
