It is sometimes the case that a reed may become clogged with a particle of dust, and thus prevented from sounding. We givebelow directions for remedying this difficulty. The reeds are drawn out by means of a little iron hook, which is secured by a leatherstrap inside the instrument, just back of the key-board. The Cut will show the manner in which the hook is used to draw the reedinto sight. This
