An agreement for $ 2 million to be used for humanitarian operations inside Syria through the Turkish Red Crescent has been signed between the Turkish Red Crescent and the UN office for the coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA). The agreed funds will facilitate border crossing project, which will involve 3,000 trucks run by more than 500 non-governmental organizations sharing in the provision of emergency assistance to about 5 million Syrians
