Opening of the Royal Exchange by Queen Victoria, 1844'. By Robert Walker Macbeth (1848-1910). The third Royal Exchange building opened by Queen Victoria (1819-1901) on 28th October 1844. The third and still the present Royal Exchange was designed by Sir William Tite (1798-1873) and adheres to the original layout.
