Alkaline button-type batteries. Alkaline batteries are used as a source of electrical power. When used in an electrical device, they convert chemical energy into electrical energy via a reaction between the zinc (Zn) and manganese dioxide (MnO2) contained within the outer metal casing seen here. They also contain the alkaline electrolyte potassium hydroxide (KOH). These are button-type batteries, typically used in watches and other small electrical devices. They come in different sizes, with the AG inscription here indicating that they are alkaline batteries. The positive terminals are labelled with a plus sign.
