It was especially planned and built for the purpose which fromthe beginning it has served so well. Steam heat and electric lightprovide comfort and service. A simple but efficient system of ventila-tion supplies an abundance of pure fresh air to each room. A numberof bathrooms conveniently located in different parts of the house pro-vide the necessary sanitation, and hot water baths may be had atstated hours each day. Trunks are not kept in the rooms, but are stored in the base-ment, where the students have access to them at any time. The house contains several separate apartments, one for ladies,another for men, and a third for married students. In addition to thecentral entrance, corridor and stairways, there are separate entrancesand stairways for the ladies and men at their respective ends of thebuilding. By this arrangement the large family housed under one roofis kept from being crowded in any part, and publicity is largelyavoided. THE DEVOTIONAL LIFE
