B does notwear this defence, but apparently a sleeveless mail-shirt : thebrassards would have been a hindrance in drawing the of the helms are pointed ; only the horseman in V. C has aplain round-topped steel cap. The shields are all round and ofmoderate size. Several of the cavaliers show their military cloaksflying behind them. The arms used are lance, bow, axe, andmace.
