Two days later, at Fort Wagner,the bajonets of these black men prickedthe name of Colonel Shaw into the roll ofimmortal honor; and, in pricking, thirty ofthem, including their • gallant young com-mander, camped on the bivouac of thedead. • The total casualties at Fort Wagneramounted to 266.
